Wei Gao is a seasoned technology and product leader with over 20 years of experience building and scaling technology-driven products and services that deliver step-change improvements in customer experience and business performance.
She is known for helping organizations transform, innovate, and grow in complex, fast-changing, large-scale environments, bringing deep expertise in ML and AI innovation, customer-centric product strategy, growth-oriented scaling, and operational excellence.
Wei is currently Chief Digital and Product Officer at Re:Build Manufacturing, where she leads new product development, digital businesses, and enterprise-wide AI-driven transformation. Previously, she was a Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group, supporting new technology investments and advising portfolio companies.
Earlier in her career, Wei spent 16 years at Amazon in senior leadership roles spanning Worldwide Grocery, Global Supply Chain Technology, and as Technical Advisor to Jeff Bezos. She played a key role in transforming Amazon’s global supply chain into a highly automated, ML-optimized, and deeply integrated software platform—enabling efficient scaling through a decade of rapid growth while delivering strong financial results.
Wei serves on the Board of the Pacific Science Center and the Board of Visitors for the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also a board member of the ASOS.com and Phononic Inc.
