Wei Gao

Wei Gao is a seasoned operating executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning product, technology, and business operations. She brings deep expertise in scaling complex organizations, driving digital transformation, and delivering sustained improvements in customer experience and business performance.

Wei most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Hopin, the leading shared experiences platform enabling immersive and interactive connection from anywhere. Prior to Hopin, she spent nearly 16 years at Amazon, where she held a range of senior leadership roles including Vice President of Amazon Grocery and Technical Advisor to Jeff Bezos. During her tenure, Wei led high-impact initiatives across eCommerce, Kindle, Supply Chain Technologies, and Amazon Grocery, overseeing large-scale transformations and building high-performing, innovative teams.

Wei is currently a Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group. She also serves on the Board of the Pacific Science Center and the Board of Visitors for the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier in her career, she was an executive advisor to the Asians-at-Amazon affinity group and was recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Tech by the National Diversity Council.
