Koustav De is a Senior Economist at Keystone in the New York office. Before joining Keystone, he was a Professor of Finance at the University of Kentucky and an Associate at Cornerstone Research. Koustav has extensive experience in litigation consulting involving securities matters, financial antitrust issues, merger and acquisition disputes, and cases concerning fiduciary duties in wealth management. His research and consulting work have involved detailed analysis of individual investor data and retail portfolio performance.
Koustav has also served as a freelance consultant for the World Bank and Google Asia Pacific, focusing on data analysis related to household saving behavior and internet usage patterns in Southeast Asia during the COVID-19 period. At Keystone, his work has included transfer pricing matters and a case involving cryptocurrency issuance and alleged market manipulation. He has over ten years of experience in large-scale data analysis using statistical and machine learning tools in both professional and academic settings.
Outside of work, Koustav enjoys running, collecting vinyl records, international cinema, and novels.
