In a career spanning 13 years at Amazon, Bajari worked across the corporation and served as its Chief Economist and a leader of Core AI, a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.  His teams worked on problems including operations, transportation, inventory, pricing, applied marketing, HR, forecasting, Digital, AWS and public policy.

Based in suburban Seattle, Bajari is a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School and the University of Minnesota’s Heller-Hurwicz Institute. He earned his doctorate in economics at the University of Minnesota and prior to working at Amazon taught in economics departments at Harvard University, Stanford University, Duke University and the University of Minnesota. Among his professional honors, he is a Fellow of the National Association of Business Economists and the Econometric Society.
